Dragons are suspicious of excessive cleanliness, and resentful when their humans interfere with the development of their natural patina. For the happiness and safety of everyone concerned, therefore, we recommend that you wash your dragon no more than once in six months or so. In between, an occasional light application of unscented hand lotion or extra virgin olive oil to the scales will relieve any uncomfortable dryness.
