A young lady is trying on her mother's clothes. She balances in the oversize high heel shoes, with a big hat on top of her head, as she ties her apron. This painting started with a snapshot of a little girl about to help out her parents behind the scenes of a food booth at the Santa Barbara Fiesta. She was tying up a rather large apron. In my imagination I moved the scene to a bedroom, added a full-length floor mirror, and gave her a few more oversized clothes. All this resulted in this studio painting.
