The picture shows the profile of a young woman, dressed in a bonnet (headgear) and a peignoir (dressing gown). Her features are beautiful and the skin seems smooth and silky. The light that falls from above captures the woman's bonnet and collar in an elegant way. The brushstrokes become bolder towards the edges, which adds movement and life to the painting.
