The Egyptian Cat God - the Goddess Bastet (aka Bast) and the Goddess Sekmet The history of the Egyptian cat god achieved cult status due to the rise of the city of Bubastis in the eastern Delta during the 22nd dynasty. The goddess adopted by the city was Bastet who was depicted with the body of a woman and the head of a cat, or lioness. The symbols of the Egyptian cat goddess Bastet were the cat, lioness, sistrum and Udjat (the Eye of Horus). The feline goddess Bastet was worshiped as the life giving god of fire, cats, the home and pregnant women. In Egyptian religion the evil counterpart of Bastet was the goddess Sekhmet who represented the destructive force of the feline and worshiped as the goddess of war and pestilence.

I am happy with my purchase. The tee shirt is a nice quality. Not too thin, but not high end. It is what I had expected. I am happy with the color and the design. I am giving it as a gift, so I don't yet know anything about fading. The sizing looks to be true. The printing looks very nice. The colors are not bright, which is what I was expecting.

Absolutely love it! My dad has an HHR SS Panel, which was an extremely limited production vehicle (just over 200 made). So of course finding him anything with HIS vehicle on it is quite difficult. Definitely a gift he is going to love for sure! Image quality looks great! Can’t comment yet on how well it will holds after multiple trips through washing and drying, but it appears as though this should hold up pretty decent. Doesn’t feel stiff like some other name brands I’ve bought in the past that did not survive the best.
