For eight centuries, Dalhousie Castle was the official seat of Scotland's Ramsay Clan. Now, it is a hotel and popular site for weddings. Dalhousie Castle overlooks the River Esk, in Midlothian, Scotland, just 13 km, or 8 miles, south of Edinburgh. With the sale of Dalhousie, the clan seat was moved to Brechin Castle. But with more than eight centuries of service to the Ramsay family, Dalhousie remains the beloved historical seat.
