Entering Black Mesa Plateau (Color Saturated) Poster

Entering Black Mesa Plateau (Color Saturated) Poster

Black Mesa is a plateau containing the highest elevation point in the State of Oklahoma at 4,973 feet. The point, marked by an Oklahoma pink-granite obelisk, is situated 1,299 feet due east of New Mexico, 31 miles north of Texas, 53 miles west - southwest of Kansas, and 4.7 miles due south of Colorado. The plateau is capped by a "black" basalt that was, at one period in time, lava. The lava flowed from Colorado through New Mexico and into Oklahoma about 30 million years ago. The movement of the lava was similar to the way lava flows at the surface in Hawaii today. A number of dormant volcanoes are located along the flow path to the west and northwest of Black Mesa. The flat topped hills in the Black Mesa area are capped by the same series of lava flows. Basalt erodes slowly compared to the sandstone and shale. As a result, the basalt protects the soft layers beneath from erosion (at least for the time being). The Cimarron River, originating in New Mexico, flows to the east along the southern boundary of Black Mesa. Black Mesa is a designated nature preserve. Oklahoma’s Black Mesa State Park is located 15 miles to the south of the Black Mesa Nature Preserve.

The quality of this Zazzle product helped us relive our recent hike in the Black Mesa Nature Preserve! I was surprised at how well the image captures the feeling we had during our hike as we entered the Black Mesa Plateau in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Up the path another mile or so is an obelisk that marks that highest elevation in the State of Oklahoma....almost a mile high! I am very particular about image focus and the sharpness of the image in reproduction. Zazzle did an outstanding job in the development of this print and the colors exceeded my expectations. Thanks Zazzle!

I was so amazed at how this all turned out. Everyone who attended the funeral was in awe of how beautiful it was made. And I owe it all to Zazzle. I wouldn’t have done it better myself not to mention I wouldnt have time to do it. The great part of it all was they had templates that was catered to my needs and that I could use it in ways I wanted to use to resize it my way. It took some time but I was happy it turned out great. I did 100 photos, 89, 66 photos (I think) lol templates. The only suggestion is that the templates, before sending through would tell you of errors like; saying please revise or resize it again for any photos that is not perfectly well sitting or not show it’s cutting off some of them and where it tells you there’s duplicates. Staring, placing and resizing all 100 + pictures into the template can be tiresome and overwhelming and it makes my eyes blurred that I can’t tell if they’re cutting off or overlapping or duplicates. Overall I am very pleased and will be using Zazzle again should the need arises. Thank you Zazzle. Altogether I’ve done 3 collages 1 profile picture and couple pictures with 1 frame and yet this is my first time ordering as a 1 time customer. Prices were very reasonable and accommodating to my finances. .
