Eschew obfuscation, also stated as eschew obfuscation, espouse elucidation, is a humorous fumblerule used by English teachers and professors when lecturing about proper writing techniques. Literally, the phrase means "don't be unclear, be clear", but the use of relatively uncommon words causes confusion, making the phrase an example of irony, and more precisely a heterological or hypocritical phrase (it does not embody its own advice). It's a terrific t-shirt design that any English Geek would love!

The shirt is good quality and fits just fine, but the colors of the printing are not as bright as in the sample photo. Not the best. The colors are a lot brighter in the sample photo; when I received the shirt they appeared faded. The red looks a little more pink and the blue is a lot lighter. N.B. I did not wash the shirt yet.
