Save the Date Card Basics Before we talk about some of those fun save the date card ideas, let’s go over a few important pieces of information about the cards. For starters, remember that not every couple needs to mail out save the date cards. However, if your wedding is taking place around a holiday or popular vacation time or if your wedding guests need to make travel plans to attend then you might want to consider sending out save the date cards. Remember save the date cards are sent out at least four months before the actual wedding day.
