European Jewish Synagogues on Antique Postcards Jigsaw Puzzle

Jewish Synagogues of Central Europe Puzzle Series now has four puzzles available. This is the largest, and shows a collage of antique postcards. Two depict the fabulous structure at Timisoar Romania (Banat of Temesvar, Habsburg Empire, Austria-Hungary). This stands today, awaiting restoration. Prince Eugene of Savoy took back Temesvar from the Turks in 1716, after 200 years of Islamic Ottoman rule. The Strasbourg Synagogue was destroyed by the Germans. Pilsen synagogue in Czechia still stands and is fully restored and in use, as is the Budapest Dohany Street synagogue. This is the birthplace of Theodore Herzl.
