Faceted Gem Blue Ice Round Pillow

I was in the middle of making new designs for clocks when I ended up with a faceted pattern, not entirely unlike some I have been working on for Arabic designs, and made using some of the same geometric principles. Instead of making it look like an Arabic tiled pattern this time – at least not initially – I used alternatingly angled gradients to give it a faux cut gem look. I will be making this design in different colours, mimicking different kinds of diamonds, other gemstones, and semi-precious stones, as well as other non-transparent materials and metallics. Please feel free to request a particular colour combination if you need something else than I already have for sale. You can also remove the background image, add your own, or use the Zazzle background colour picker when you click on “customize it”. As this is a vector image, it can also be infinitely resized, and can often look good expanded so that the gem fills the entire design area, as I have done for some, but not for most, of the designs I am posting. A nice image for anyone enjoying symmetrical patterns, lapidary (gem cutting), for jewelers or connoisseurs of jewellery (that’s “jewelry” to you American English users).
