She is playing a musical melody on a woodwind instrument. She is summoning a host of angels with her music. The original artwork was painted by E.R. Hughes in 1911.

I love the puzzle and recommend it to others but i was sad by how long it took to deliver my gift. It was shipped 2 months after I placed my order.
