This design captures the bittersweet emotion of watching the orbiter back away from the ISS for the final time. The Sun is on the horizon. Setting on the Space Shuttle Program but maybe dawning on a new era of exploration. The shuttle's Canadarm is raised in proper salute to all who made the shuttle program possible. The Constellation Aquila or Eagle is displayed across the sky. It's seven stars in tribute to two lost crews.
In this updated art I illustrated the blazing re-entry of Atlantis (as photographed by the ISS crew), passing through the Omega symbol. The names of every orbiter and the dates are included in the border.
