This piece started as a portrait of an old man sitting on a couch. To create a story, I set the couch in the middle of the sea, where it would eventually sink. The old man, a merchant, faces his end with calm resignation. The final draft is a scan of a pencil drawing that I painted in Procreate. Recommended for seafood chefs, fishmongers, fishermen, and fans of Moby Dick or The Old Man and the Sea.

The apron is of very good quality. I used it while icing cookies. The dark colored icing washed off of the apron very well! The neck strap is sturdy and easy to resize on the adult size apron. The print was clear and well defined. I am glad I was able to personalize with name.
