This design features the national flag of Guinea (officially known as the Republic of Guinea; in French, "République de Guinée"), which is a coastal country in West Africa. Guinea was formerly known as French Guinea (in French, "Guinée française"), and the modern country of Guinea is sometimes referred to as Guinea-Conakry to distinguish it from other countries with "Guinea" in the name, such as Guinea-Bissau and Equatorial Guinea. The capital of Guinea is Conakry, which is also the country's largest city. Other major cities and towns in Guinea include Nzérékoré, Kankan, Manéah, Dubréka, Kindia, Siguiri, Kissidougou, Labé and Kamsar.
