This design features the national flag of Morocco (officially known as Kingdom of Morocco), which is a country located in the Maghreb region of North Africa. Morocco overlooks the Mediterranean Sea to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Morocco shares land borders with Algeria to the east and Western Sahara (status disputed) to the south. Morocco also claims the exclaves of Ceuta, Melilla and Peñón de Vélez de la Gomera, all of them under Spanish jurisdiction, as well as several small Spanish-controlled islands off its coast. The capital city of Morocco is Rabat, while its largest city is Casablanca. Other major cities in Morocco include Fez (or Fes), Tangier (or Tangiers), Marrakesh, Salé, Meknes, Oujda, Kenitra, Agadir, Tetouan and Temara. The green pentagram on the flag of Morocco represents the seal of Solomon, while the red background is said to represent courage, strength and fortitude.
