As a mother of a ballerina, sister of ballerinas, and an aunt of many many little ballerinas, I have spent a fair amount of my life watching the beauty of ballet. Unless you've observed closely, you may not realize what amazing athletes professional ballet dancers are. Imagine the control and strength it takes to balance all your weight on your toes, for the entirety of a performance. At the same time, coupled with the strength, is the most sublime grace, poise, and beauty. I captured a small gliimpse of that in this multi media print.
