Food Diary (#Victuals) Notebook

This is a saying which is often attributed to a Greek physician, Hippocrates (often regarded as the "Father of Medicine"). At least, that's what some articles say about the quote. However, this was an inaccurate claim (or a presupposition). Not only was the saying erroneously attributed to him, as per current research, but that being referred to as simply the "Father of Medicine" was also conflated, according to some articles (which I've read as of the recent past). There was no actual writing of his that says that. My inspiration, however, was basic scientific and commonsensical approaches to a healthy diet & how that could lead to either a deadly disease or a good gob of healthy bacteria in one's system. Yes, I'm alluding to gut flora affecting bodily immune functions, or general physiology, including oral health (derived from food). The colored drawing was done several days back to remind one of our eating habits. I chose a canned good being opened as an element symbolizing many things, especially in a health crisis situation (a covid-19 pandemic situation) when socioeconomic and sociocultural standards and norms may be changed drastically. It is hoped that in order to be safe, we should choose our food intake wisely. Thank you for reading on.
