Forget-Me-Nots are the state flower of Alaska. This photo of two clusters of forget-me-not blossoms was taken on Unalaska Island. Forget-me-nots are not native to the Aleutian Islands, but they have done well as an introduced species of blue garden flower, blooming twice a year. Forget-Me-Nots are a member of the Myosotis genus of the Boraginaceae family. They are also members of the Cynoglossum family. Forget-Me-Nots are used as tokens of rememberance between friends and lovers.
