About This Design

Frida Kahlo | Heroína Large Clock

Frida Kahlo | Heroína Large Clock

This bold black and white illustration is an ode to Mexico's revolutionary female painter, Frida Kahlo. The artist has influenced millions with her brutal and revealing self-portraits inspired by her culture, her suffering and her strong political beliefs. Frida was a feminist with strong Marxist leanings and a dream of equality for all. Her brave fight against inequality has made her a hero and an inspiration to women all over the world. The use of flowers, birds and wreaths were prominent throughout her artwork as they represented her Mexican heritage which she was very proud of. Fans of the influential artist will love this touching tribute to the progressive painter. © 2019 Frida Kahlo Corporation. All Rights Reserved.

Great price for a very nice product. Arrived a day early - unheard of these days. The outside gold area has a little more orange tone to it than shown in the picture. Great packing so product can't get damaged. I used the same packing to forward the clock to my brother and sister-on-law for the 50th wedding anniversary. Printing was just as expected - lovely!
