Giant Sequoia Seeds Postcard
Mature Giant Redwood cones produce an amazing 300 tiny seeds per little 3 inch cone. The seeds mature and are eventually released when the cones open during dry weather, high heat from forest fires, or nibbling and crushing by animals. The seeds may stay in their little cone home for up to 20 years. When released, the tiny winged seeds fly away to become future giants.
