Glass Christmas Ball Green Present Decoration Button

I have collected vintage mercury glass Christmas ornaments for many years and they are becoming very very scarce. I thought it would be fun to share them with you. Each is carefully photographed and then the image has been added to ornaments, pillows, buttons, etc. This one has a color you certainly don't see much in current ornaments and yet the color is so fresh and wonderful for a tree. What is special about this one is the silver mica, they are the black sprinkles as they really are genuine silver and have blackened with time. You can see where the hand painted design of paint in the center has flaked off during its 70 plus years . This ornament is from pre-war Germany. I will be putting up more as I get to them but the process is slow, bear with me - I know you want a whole tree full - or in the case of pillows… a whole couch or bed full.
