The background is an ombre pattern soft pastel iced dove grey fading into light pewter gray. Across the top of the pair of wings is a jewel encrusted border with the hand lettered font, calligraphy script personalized with your first name. This case is more of an otter type case. It has flaps that cover all of the plugs . I didn't realize how clunky it would be.. hence my 4 stars, although I should have done a bit more investigating. All in all, pretty cool you can get a William Morris I phone case! printing was ok ... not very sharp but pretty
