Golden Winged Scarab Fabric
The Scarab design idea came while looking for designs for my sister who is passionate about Egypt. There is a photo of an engraving on the walls of an ancient Egyptian building this was one colour. I remembered hearing that originally the buildings would have been painted in bright colours or covered with gold so I searched to see what came up. The Egyptians also used this design in their jewellery which was encrusted with precious gems and stones. So I decided to combine the two ideas in this picture.
Scarabs were very positive for the Egyptians. They are all about rebirth and good luck, renewal and a protection from the evils.
