But one day, the Bacab learned of their refuge. Hungry for revenge, he sent eagle warriors, who captured the lovers and put them to death. The aliens, moved by their plight, took the lovers into a pair of flying saucers and attacked the Bacab who had been transformed into a pterodactyl by genetic engineering.
