Kookaburra by John Gould. John Gould's "Birds of Australia", originally published in London between 1840 and 1848.
John Gould, known as "the Bird Man", was a naturalist whose was passionate about birds. He combined his good eye for detail and business acumen to illustrate, with the assistance of his artist wife Elizabeth and other fine bird lithographers, the birds of the different regions of the world. By obtaining wealthy subscribers prior to each venture, John Gould was able to publish series of superb hand-coloured lithographs that have not been surpassed to this day.

The minute I spotted this item I knew I HAD to order these for my daughter's wedding for the Hotel Goodie Bags since the wedding was held at a vineyard. The quality is great and they were a little bigger than I expected but worked out and will be useful to the recipients to tote their books, papers, lunch etc for future use. The picture shows what we put inside to welcome our hotel guests. I was very satisfied with the printing on the tote and I liked I was able to choose the font and size for the bag.
