The ouroboros, perhaps the ultimate symbol of recycling: the self sustaining serpent that eats its own tail - but here it shows the balance of the rainforest, in the endless cycle of creation and destruction, life in death and death in life. The animals aren't frightened to enter the dragon's mouth, they're eager to start the next stage of the cycle. Oh, I can go on like this for hours.
