Greenville, GA Postcard

Greenville, Ga in Meriwether County, population 794. The Greenville Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 16, 1990., Meriwether County Courthouse is located in Greenville, Georgia, the county seat. The Meriwether County Jail was built in 1896 and added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 7, 1973. The Burwell O. Hill House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1982. The Hiram Warner Hill House was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 7, 1983. The Render Family Homestead was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 1, 1984. Twin Oaks, also known as Winsor Hall, was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 26, 1980. The Georgia Mural Trail was created by John W. Christian from the Go Georgia Arts. Our studio is located in Hapeville, Ga. The Georgia Mural trail started as a five years commitment to paint fifty murals in fifty cities in five years. We focus is on smaller cities under 10,000 people. We also have a program for larger cities under 50,000 people. Our goal is to get other artists, organizations, and sponsors on board to help with the painting, funding, and marketing of the trail.
