This t-shirt celebrates Grigne Gàidhlig Ghlaschu (The Glasgow Gaelic Gathering), a Scottish Gaelic language and culture festival that will take place this June in historic Glasgow, Kentucky. The symbol on the front of a shirt is a triskelion (or in Scottish Gaelic, a trì-chasag, meaning 'little-three-leg'), a motif in Gaelic art that has been in use for millennia. The symbolism of the triskelion depends on its context. In this case, it represents the 'Three Cs' of Grigne Gàidhlig Ghlaschu: Cànan (Language), Cultar (Culture), and Coimhearsnachd (Community). To emphasize the inclusivity of the festival, the triskelion is either rainbow-colored or framed in a rainbow border. The rhyming slogan on the back, Thig thugainn chun an fhèill ann am Baile Beag nan Gàidheal, means 'come with us to the festival in the Small Town of the Gaels'. Glasgow, Scotland is nicknamed Baile Mòr nan Gàidheal (The Big Town of the Gaels), and Glasgow, Kentucky is nicknamed 'Baile Beag nan Gàidheal' (The Small Town of the Gaels).

My 11 yo wore adult XL (5’7” 165#). The 8yo is small framed. She wore adult small and tied it in the back. Dark haired male wore adult large and 5’9”, 110# female wore adult medium . Good quality dark Heather gray, Gildan brand shirt. -it was next up from basic choice and cost about $20 per shirt. Not too thick or thin. Washed and dried well, no major shrinkage. Not see-through. Can wear a bra under it fine. Screen print is just as shown and well done, front and back.
