There was very little wind that day and the mountains, the forest green of the trees lining the edge of the lake, the blue sky and clouds; all reflected off the glass like surface of the lake, just like a mirror. The stillness of the mountain grandeur of the Colorado Rockies was all around us. It was a picture perfect day, and we packed a picnic basket for lunch and enjoyed the picturesque landscape of the mountains and Echo Lake, before resuming our drive toward the summit.
