Zazzle Print Colors Guidance

Certain colors can pose challenges from screen preview to print, but the charts below showcase a selection of CMYK colors that are proven to be reliable for printing on different Zazzle substrates.

We strongly encourage you to utilize these color options for your designs. By referencing these charts, you’ll enhance the consistency and accuracy of our color reproduction, leading to more vibrant and impactful results to the customer.

What kind of file type should you use for uploading to Zazzle?

For print projects, we prefer files in CMYK color mode. This is different from the RGB color mode used for screens, like on your phone or computer.

You can send us your files in one of three formats:

  • PDF or SVG: These are the best options because they can be made larger or smaller without losing quality.
  • TIFF: This is also a good option for print, and it's similar to a high-quality JPEG or PNG image.

We don't require a specific CMYK profile, but our creators typically use standard settings in their chosen graphic design software.

Do I need to update my existing product colors to follow these guidelines?

If you have existing products with a high return rate or reviews mentioning print or color issues, it’s a good idea to revisit and revise them for color accuracy. We also actively monitor for products with frequent issues and may contact you directly if we believe a color adjustment could help.

Are these colors available in the design tool?

We recently updated the design tool color palette to include colors we have tried and tested for optimal print quality. We intend to offer the above larger canvas to customers and creators in the near future, so stay tuned!
