'Cromointerferencia de color aditivo'. El nombre oficial de la obra no dice tanto como aquel por el que comúnmente se conoce: el mosaico de Carlos Cruz-Diez del aeropuerto de Maiquetía, que sirve a Caracas. Esta intervención de 2.608 metros cuadrados está en la zona de salida de los vueltos internacionales. No hay registro oficial de cuántos venezolanos salen al día por el aeropuerto internacional, pero ir en cualquier momento asegura ver la escena de una despedida que, a juzgar por los llantos, los abrazos y el desgarro en la mirada, lleva impresa la incertidumbre que da no saber cuándo se volverá a ver a los seres queridos.
Quien se va de Venezuela en avión se toma una última foto de rigor. Va llena de emociones contradictorias y de los pequeños cuadritos multicolores del maestro nacido en Caracas y nacionalizado francés. Para los venezolanos, además de un genio creador, se ha convertido en los últimos años en un artífice involuntario del imaginario colectivo de la migración. Great price for a very nice product. Arrived a day early - unheard of these days. The outside gold area has a little more orange tone to it than shown in the picture. Great packing so product can't get damaged. I used the same packing to forward the clock to my brother and sister-on-law for the 50th wedding anniversary. Printing was just as expected - lovely!

My 93- yr. old Dad has everything.....and now including a clock with pictures of him in action!
Was initially a bit difficult to size & position the pictures in each space, but the end product was worth the effort. He enjoyed it and it was definitely a unique way of memorializing good times in his life. Quality of print was good.
