The Sleeping Gypsy (French: La Bohémienne endormie) is an 1897 oil painting by French Naïve artist Henri Rousseau. It is a fantastical depiction of a lion musing over a sleeping woman on a moonlit night. A wandering woman, a mandolin player in a colorful dress, lies with her jar beside her (a vase with drinking water), overcome by fatigue in a deep sleep, watched by a lion in a fantastic surreal scenery.

I love the pattern, but it is much browner in person than the photo. Also after washing the back fabric shrinks more than the front fabric so the placemat is uneven. The printing is great except for the color which is much browner.
