Henry B. Pauls Rosenthal House Ceramic Tile

Henry B Pauls was a Mennonite painter known particularly for his paintings of his home in Ukraine before he immigrated in 1923. This painting depicts his family home in Rosenthal in the Chortitza Mennonite Colony in Ukraine (now Zaparozhe). The family lived there after leaving Chortitza Island until they immigrated to Canada. Henry was my great-uncle and this painting was gifted to his sister, my grandmother. I inherited it from her. Henry began painting in his retirement and never sold his paintings for profit. In that spirit, I will donate all my profits from sales of the Henry B Pauls tile to the Mennonite Central Committee.
