The Henslow's Sparrow is a hard-to-find bird that hides out in grasslands or wetlands or a combination of the two. To make it even more difficult to find is the fact that it also has a very short and plain song. John James Audubon painted this sparrow in the early 1800's using watercolor paints and pen-and-ink. The Henslow's Sparrow is a serious target bird for many birders.
