Her Words - Sojourner Truth - Tote

In honor of Women's History month, I've gathered the 'famous' sayings of outstanding women of Social Justice. I have created a collection of totes, wall hanging, posters, and t-shirts, using some of their less known statements and images. The name of this collection is "Her Words". Their words still ring true. Sojourner Truth, a former slave, was an outspoken advocate for Freedom, Civil and Women's rights in the nineteenth century. Her Civil War work earned her an invitation to meet President Abraham Lincoln in 1864. Truth, could not read or write, yet she was known as a charismatic speaker. In 1850, she dictated what would become her autobiography - The Narrative of Sojourner Truth - to Olive Gilbert, was as also her publisher.
