Hikone Tachibana Postcard

Hikone Tachibana Postcard

[Hikone] Omi Hikone: 250,000 Jomon (family crest) of the Ii family; I lived in Inoya in Totomi, the Ii family for generations, and the place name became Ii. It is said that the founder was Tomosuke, the sixth-generation descendant of FUJIWARA no Fuyutsugu (Sadaijin (Minister of the Left) in the Heian period), who was from the Fujiwara clan. There were no boys in the cofinanced group, and only girls. While he was looking for a good groom, he heard that there was a child of a god at Iidani Hachiman-sha Shrine and welcomed him. The family crest of the Ii family is known as 'Igeta' and 'Tachibana.' The legend of Kyoho's birth is that when the Guji of Hachiman casually walked around the shrine, there was something shining from the well. He picked it up and found it was a boy like a ball. Therefore, it was decided that 'because I was born from I, I would use Iketa as my flag.' When Kyoho was born, there was a family crest of Tachibana on the side of the well, and therefore, Kyoho used the family crest of Shinto priest and Tachibana on the crest of Ubugi. This means that until now, tachibana has been used as the crest of clothing... but, the truth is, 'There is no promise' (by Kenichi TAKAHASHI, 'The family crest of daimyo')

I joined Postcrossing a few months ago and wanted postcards to represent my state well. I found them on Zazzle. I purchased numerous cards and was impressed with all of them. Excellent! The colors are beautiful. The cards have the exact look I wanted. I couldn't be happier.
