A beautiful hippo image from the vintage Work Projects Administration (WPA) posters, this hippopotamus is an iconic figure of zoo promotional posters. The cute hippo poster was sponsored by the Federal Art Project to advertise and promote the Philadelphia zoo. The hippopotamus posters was created in 1936. It says, "Visit the Zoo" at the top, and "Philadelphia" at the bottom. The cute hippopotamus is standing there, on top of the "Philadelphia" words, looking out at us.

The clock works perfectly. I am so happy to have found this clock on Zazzle. I grew up in Fond du Lac, WI so this lighthouse has great meaning to me.
