Hokusai Peonies and Butterfly Reboot Postcard
This piece is an oil painting reproduction of a classic piece by Ukiyo-e "Floating World" woodcut master and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai of Japan's Edo period. I am disappointed by the fading and damage to much of his collection from the 1800s, but as I'm not a Photoshop or woodcut artist I've been rebooting many of Hokusai's landscapes and some of his Large Flowers series in oil paint style as a bit of a hobby. Aside from missing his signature (I don't feel comfortable signing another artist's name) all of my Hokusai series are faithful reproductions in different media.
