Honu Sea Turtle Hawaiian Tapa Black Flip Flops

Silver, gray, white and black colorway. Ancient Samoan tapas are the inspiration for this primitive honu (turtle) design used in the Polynesian and Hawaiian cultures. These types of designs were often printed on aloha shirts and pareaus for traditional hula dancers. We took our turtle,distressed him, as he would appear when printed on tapa cloth, and allowed him to swim allover the ocean with his many friends. This pattern is featured on men’s neckties, bandanas, phone cases, laptop sleeves, home furnishings and more.

When the gift was opened my friend was floored. It turned out beautiful. I can't speak to the wearibility or comfort of the shoe since it was a gift. However, it presents itself well. The color scheme on this particular shoe is stunning. The clolors are vivid and rich.
