Hopi Dragonfly Magnet

DragonFly Cross When the Conquistadores of Spain came into the Southwest in the 16th century, they had priests and friars with them ready to convert the native peoples. The cross of Christianity resembled the Dragonfly symbol already traditional to the Pueblos. Today, most Southwestern tribespeople are Catholic still, while maintaining our traditional beliefs and blending the two.
