Nudibranchs, or sea slugs, are shell-less relatives of land snails. They're found in all oceans of the world, and come in a vast array of different forms and colors. The Hopkins Rose (Okenia rosacea) is typically found in tidepools and shallow rocky reefs in southern and central California. It gets its brilliant pink color from a pigment in its food, Rosy Bryozoan (Integripelta bilabiata).
