Hopkins Rose Tote Bag

My illustration of the brilliant pink Hopkins Rose nudibranch is based on photographs I took of this sea slug in the tidepools of Carmel, California. This tote bag makes a great gift for the scuba diver, tidepool lover, or sea slug enthusiast in your life! Nudibranchs, or sea slugs, are shell-less relatives of land snails. They're found in all oceans of the world, and come in a vast array of different forms and colors. The Hopkins Rose (Okenia rosacea) is typically found in tidepools and shallow rocky reefs in southern and central California. It gets its brilliant pink color from a pigment in its food, Rosy Bryozoan (Integripelta bilabiata). Please contact me if you would like this image on a different product!
