Hot Pepper - Still Life, is a dark food photography. While cooking a spicy Asian dish, the fresh hot chili on my kitchen table caught my eye. The chili peppers were small, bright red and had a shiny surface. They lay on the table in a seemingly random but aesthetically pleasing arrangement, highlighting their intense colors and sharp points. The contrast with the black surface of my table was so cool that I had to take a picture of it. Every time I look at this little still life, I get an appetite for a spicy Chinese soup or a hot Thai curry.
