Huntington Flag 1776

The Huntington flag was originally a British Red Ensign flag. In the year of Huntington's Declaration of Rights in 1774, the word Liberty was added to he front of this flag and George III to the back. When news of the Declaration of Independence reached Huntington in 1776, a crowd was assembled on the Village Green, the flag lowered and the British colors and the word George III were ripped off the flag. This same flag was later carried during the Battle of Long Island.

Flag bracket is super easy to assemble. There is a prong fork that goes into the ground. I dug a shallow hole to bury the prongs and still had enough height. Reinforced stitching on for the flag opening. Colors are true to the website. Mona Lisa's sign with the text is easy to read, the text is clear and not blurry. I am very happy with this yard sign.
