I got this for my mom, and she absolutely loves it! She has been careful not to put it in the dishwasher or microwave - and perhaps it was this way from the start - but we can see the words when the mug is cold if we look for them. It's not blatant, but they definitely are not invisible when the mug is cold. I have red words on a black (morphs to white) mug. Would it have worked better if the words were black? I wonder if perhaps it might have.
