Iberá Wetlands Argentina Postcard

The Iberá Wetlands, or 'Esteros del Iberá' in Spanish, are a vast, pristine wetland system in northeastern Argentina. This critical ecosystem consists of a network of lagoons, marshes, and natural channels, forming one of the largest freshwater wetlands on the continent. Known for its rich biodiversity and successful rewilding efforts, Iberá is a sanctuary for unique species like the giant anteater and the maned wolf, and it boasts an incredible variety of birds, including the Cocoi Heron.
