Here’s how you do it:

DIY: Bow Ties for Dogs step 1

1. First, measure and cut two rectangular pieces of fabric from the swatch – one large, one small. The larger piece should measure 5.5” x 6.5” and the smaller piece, 2” x 3.5”.

2. Next, take the larger piece of fabric, design side is down, and create hems on the long sides. Do this by folding over about ½ an inch of fabric and gluing down.

6. To create the bow, take the large piece of fabric and, using the fan or accordion method, fold along the long side. Make sure there is a fold in the center. Then take the hoop and insert the short end of the large piece of fabric through it. Place it in the middle of the folded fabric.
