With every passing day, your new little one grows, and you prepare to welcome them into the world. There is a lot to be done when celebrating a new family member: preparing the nursery, baby-proofing the house, getting as many diapers as you can get your hands on, and throwing a one-of-a-kind baby shower!
We’ve put together a simple guide to learn how to make your own custom baby shower invitations for your upcoming celebration!
Create Your Own Baby Shower Invitations on Zazzle

Step 1
To start, go to Zazzle’s custom baby shower invitation page and pick the size of invitation you’d like to send to all your loved ones.
The standard size for invitations would be 5” x 7”, but if you really want your baby shower invitation to be unique one of our other size invitations may do the trick. Or our All-In-One invitations are a unique combination of both a beautifully printed custom invitation with an easy-to-tear-off perforated RSVP postcard.
Step 2
Click on the thumbnail – the blank preview – and you’ll be brought to the product page.
The ‘Designed by you’ heading at the top of the page indicates that this is one of Zazzle’s ‘Create Your Own’ products: a blank canvas to which you can add any element you like.

Step 3
Before clicking on the ‘Customize This Design’ button, compare the different ‘Size,’ ‘Corner,’ and ‘Paper Type’ menus, and consider the impact they might have on the finished product. The standard size for invitations would be 5” x 7”, but if really want your baby shower invitation to be unique one of our other size invitations may do the trick.
Step 4
Add any images or designs of the theme for the party by clicking on the ‘Customize This Design’. You will be taken into our design tool where you can add multiple images, change the font, and swap out the color of the text.

Step 5
Make sure to include any important information, like the where and when of the shower. Don’t forget to remind guests whether gifts are to be brought and to provide links to the parents’ gift registries, if applicable.
Step 6
Put the finishing touch on your baby shower invitation by including the RSVP phone number or email address so everyone knows who to notify that they are coming.

Step 7
Once you’re finished, click the ‘Done’ button and return to the main product page. You can make sure you like everything about your custom invitation.
Step 8
Lastly, you can repeat the process to design on other products, like baby shower games or welcome signs.
Custom Foil Invitations
By adding foil to your invitations, you’ll be bringing a beautiful sophistication to your event. The perfect addition to any baby shower that is planned to be a massive blowout, with a dress code, champagne fountains (for the non-pregnant people), and an extravagant cake. For more information, see “Everything to Know About Zazzle’s Foil Invitations & Cards” to learn about your options for foil cards.
Embossers
Create your own custom embosser to use on the invites and the thank you cards you’ll send out to everyone who comes to the shower. You can add your return address to your envelopes in this distinctive way. When your guests see that you’ve even embossed the envelopes, it’ll leave quite the impression!
How to Add a Personal Touch to Your Invites
Add Glitter
Adding glitter to your invitation is a tremendous way to make it shine. Get creative with your glue stick and affix glitter to your invitations. Having just a little glitter can go a long way in creating a cute shimmer on your card.
Add a Bow
Having an adorable bow on your invitation is a fantastic touch and adds a 3-D aspect to your card. Stick to either the traditional blue and pink, or the color that matches your theme for the shower. This bow will separate your card from the rest of the shower (or from the wedding cards your family may be getting this year).
Wax Seals
Wax seals are a classic and traditional addition to any invitation. You can create your own with custom letters, custom letters, or upload an image that matches your theme, like a cute pair of baby feet.! When sending out your cards, you’ll be creating an exclusive experience for your family and friends – not just on the invitation but on the envelope as well.

Top Baby Shower Invitations
Since you have so much to do in planning the shower, as opposed to generating your own design, an easier option would be to pick from one of the baby shower invitations made by our Independent Creators! You can add your own special details, images, or information that you want everyone to know.
Baby Boy & Baby Girl Invitations
If you already know the gender of your expected little one or have already had your gender reveal party, then these invitations allow you to celebrate your new little boy or girl in many shades of pink or blue. Include your favorite animal, flower, or piece of sports equipment on your blue or pink invitation.
Gender Neutral Invitations
Many want to be surprised when their baby arrives, so having a gender-neutral baby shower allows everyone to enjoy the day without spoiling the wonder of the gender of the baby. This is a wonderful option for people who don’t want to stick to the normal pink or blue colors for babies.
Disney Invitations
You can’t go wrong with a Disney-themed baby shower! What’s more charming than a little Winnie the Pooh baby shower, or a Monsters Inc. baby shower? Embrace the theme you love for your shower by decorating with Disney baby shower decor. Ask your guests to bring Disney-themed gifts for the nursery.
Digital Download
As any expectant parent is busy, Zazzle has you covered when it comes to invitations for your upcoming baby shower. Send your invitations via email or text message to everyone you want to have fun with on this special occasion. This way the invitations don’t get lost in the mail, and you’ll know for certain that everyone’s received theirs.
The important thing to remember as you’re planning your baby shower is to choose a theme or color palette that will make you or the mother-to-be happy on the day. Whether this is a shower for the first baby or the fourth, the day is about honoring the expectant parents and giving them anything else they need to be fully prepared for when the baby arrives.
