This iconic image of Frederick & Nelson shows the store at the close of its 75th Anniversary year in 1965. That year the store received more fan mail than any past Christmas. One customer wrote, “Every year Frederick’s is lovely to behold, and all Seattleites look forward eagerly wondering what spectacular decorations will greet…shoppers… Frederick’s is my favorite store all year long every year, but even more so when it is decorated for Christmas.”
