In the Laboratory c1885-87 by American Painter Henry Alexander (1860 - 1894), a graduate of the Munich Academy of Fine Art; was a Portraitist and Still Life Painter.
This portrait of a man in a lab is of Thomas Price (1837–1912), a chemist and assayer known as a consultant for international mining companies in his working in his San Francisco laboratory; as he was noted for his practical and theoretical knowledge of metals and mines.

This is the 14th metal picture I've made (large format) 20 x16. I love them. They are very light weight and though seem expense to purchase they are cheaper than having it matted and framed. Note one little sticky-wicket. I've had two of these wood frames come unglued and the picture feel to the floor, bending it. This happened about six months into their arrival. Excellent printing and good color
